This Privacy Notice applies to all personal data of job applicants processed by Kabam, Inc., or its affiliates in Canada and the United Kingdom (“Kabam”, “we” or “us”) in connection with the career pages on Kabam’s website. Each entity is a wholly owned subsidiary of Netmarble Corp, which is based in South Korea.
You can apply for a position within Kabam in San Francisco, California, Austin, Texas, or Vancouver, British Colombia through our online recruitment system on the Career Section of our website. You may apply for specific vacancies posted by registering an account (or signing in where you are already registered) and submitting your application online or connecting your LinkedIn profile. We also have a feature that allows you to share a link to a job vacancy with your followers on Twitter.
Our goal at Kabam is to recruit excellent talent to join our team of high achievers. Our teams are made up of resources who value feedback, collaboration and growth. We look to recruit people who will add to the Kabam culture and bring fresh perspectives. To achieve these goals, Kabam collects and processes personal information about its applicants.
We and our service providers collect personal data for recruitment purposes (a) through Kabam’s online application process, and (b) through your LinkedIn account.
a) Personal data collected through Kabam’s online application process
We require you to register an account with Kabam or sign in with your existing account as part of the online application process. When you register an account, we collect your name, email and phone number.
We invite you to upload your resume and other relevant documents and ask you to provide us information about your work experience, education, skills, behaviors, motivations, licenses and certifications. We also allow you to provide us links to websites that you want us to view as part of your application.
We invite you to identify how you heard about the job opportunity and identify the name of a current Kabam employee who referred you to the opportunity. We also ask when you are available to start employment.
As required under law, we invite you to participate in an EEOC Voluntary Self-Identification survey and notify you of your rights pursuant to federal labor laws. Participation in this survey is voluntary.
b) Personal data collected through your LinkedIn account
If you choose to connect your LinkedIn profile upon applying for a position on the Kabam website, you will share certain personal data from your social media account with us, such as your name, e-mail address, skills, and any other information you choose to make accessible to use when you connect your LinkedIn account.
We collect and process personal information for recruitment purposes, including information that helps us manage applications and determine how you meet our organizational and job role selection criteria. We also communicate with you about your application including requests for additional information, interviews and notifications regarding the process. We also process personal information as we, in our sole discretion, otherwise determine to be necessary to comply with applicable law.
We process your personal data as described above according to one or more of the following lawful bases, depending on each specific context and the types of personal information concerned:

We store information on servers primarily located in the United States, and we may also store such information on servers and equipment in other countries, such as Canada, particularly where the position applied for is located in Vancouver, British Columbia. Where necessary, we utilize Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission to legitimize the transfer of personal information from the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or Switzerland to the United States and other countries.
We use technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data that we hold against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to personal data transmitted, stored or otherwise processed. The practical reality is, however, no data transmissions over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you understand that any information that you transfer to us is done at your own risk. If we learn of a data breach that is likely to affect the security of your personal data, we may attempt to notify you electronically via email so that you can take appropriate protective steps and/or by posting a notice via the Services if a data breach occurs. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing.
We retain your personal data for a reasonable period of time to fulfill the processing purposes outlined above. For example, your personal data is retained for up to six months after the application and selection process is finalized for each position posted. In the event you are not selected, your personal data is deleted, unless we determine it necessary to retain for longer periods to fulfill our legitimate interests such as resolving disputes or as necessitated by law or legal considerations. When retention is necessary, we will de-identify such personal data to the extent reasonably possible. When retention is no longer needed to fulfill the processing purposes, your personal data is deleted from our records. In the event you are selected and enter an employment agreement, your personal data is retained further and becomes part of your employment file and also your profile.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The “LAST UPDATED” legend at the top of this Privacy Notice indicates when this Privacy Notice was last revised. We will post a notice on our Services if we make any significant material changes. The revised Privacy Notice, when it takes effect, supersedes all previous Privacy Notices.
